Welcome to Savile Bowmen.
Savile Bowmen is an open membership target archery club in the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire, and is affiliated to Archery GB, Northern Counties Archery Society and the Yorkshire Archery Association. We have an active and growing membership who shoot compound, recurve and longbow disciplines.
Our club shoots at Dewsbury Moor ARLFC during the outdoor season and Spen Valley Sports College during the indoor season. Both of these venues are open to visitors.
We have an open membership and welcome archers of all abilities. Feel free to visit us at one of our regular sessions and introduce yourself.

14/09/2015 - Have-a-go Session
We are holding a have-a-go session on Sunday 20th September 1-3pm at Dewsbury Moor ARLFC (WF13 3UY). Come along and try your hand at archery. This event is free of charge and all are welcome (minimum age 8 to shoot). There is no need to book - just turn up! We look forward to seeing you there.
19/08/2015 - Indoor Season & Wednesday Outdoor Shooting
The upcoming indoor season will begin on Monday 14th September at Spen Valley Sports College. We will be shooting from 7:30 PM Mondays and Fridays.
Additionally we are now able to shoot on Wednesday evenings at Dewsbury Moor ARLFC again.
06/05/2015 - UPDATE - Temporary Change to Shooting Sessions
Great news! We are now able to resume our Friday shooting sessions at Dewsbury Moor ARLFC. Our shooting sessions are currently Mondays and Fridays from 6:30pm and Sundays from 1pm.

21/09/2014 - Have A Go Event Success
On Sunday 21st September, Savile Bowmen held their third invitational have-a-go event. Over 50 people of all ages joined in for an afternoon of shooting in the summer heat. Club members provided tuition and explained the various types of equipment used by target archers.
14/09/2014 - Captain's Day Shoot
On 14th September 2014, we held the Captain's Day Shoot. Around 20 archers turned up to shoot, the weather was kind and a good time was had by all.
